Jason Delplanque is an improvisation skills trainer and actor.

Originally from Johannesburg he lived in England for 15 years and studied acting at the Academy of Creative Training in Brighton. After graduating he performed with various theatre companies including StoneCrabs, Bite-Size, Incisor, Otherplace Productions, and The Treason Show. He also toured with Rainbow Theatre performing open-air Shakespeare. 

In 2005 Jason joined Brighton's masterful, maverick, award-winning improvised comedy company The Maydays. They offer superb performances, always pushing the boundaries of improvisation, and share their knowledge through excellent training. In 2008 Jason attended the world famous iO Chicago to learn long form improvisation techniques.

He has also assisted Chris Stagg Associates as a role-player using theatre-based training at senior management level. 

Jason returned to South Africa in 2011. He lives in Cape Town where he is represented by Samantha Bernhardi Artist Management. In May 2011 he co-founded the improvisation skills organisation Improv Cape Town.
